Austin Stone Worship

Look Back

This year The Austin Stone hosted our very first NOVO Conference, a renewal experience for church leaders. Matt Carter and Aaron Ivey had been dreaming of a unique way to create a restful conference experience that calls pastors back to their first love, Jesus. Over 200 church leaders from 21 states and Canada joined us for three days of resting in Jesus, remembering their first love, and re-engaging in their mission and calling. We were even able to offer 25 pastoral counseling sessions with The Austin Stone Counseling Center to help care for these pastors. Because of the positive feedback we received we are excited to host NOVO again in February 2020!

Look Back

The Austin Stone Story Team is a community of writers, editors, photographers, and filmmakers who creatively tell honest and encouraging stories of gospel transformation that inspire the church to worship Jesus Christ for who He is and remember what He has done. In 2018-2019, Story Team released 33 stories of gospel transformation in the lives of the people of The Austin Stone. On June, 20, 2019 Story Team released a new podcast season called “Expectant” on the Stories From The Austin Stone Podcast. This season highlighted 8 families’ stories of faithfulness in the face of infertility, miscarriage, and infant loss. These stories were downloaded over 34,000 times, which puts the year’s total podcast downloads to 57, 517.

Move Forward

In 2019-2020, Story Team will host Story Sunday during the Fall Vision series where they will show four documentary films and release a new volume of the “Stories from The Austin Stone” booklet. We also have a goal to tell 50 stories this year in order to publish one story a week. These 50 stories will include 30 written stories, 6 documentary films and 14 podcast episodes.

Look Back

Austin Stone Worship had a great 2018! We were honored to release "The Reveille, Vol. 3", our third in our series of instrumental records. Additionally, we released the single for "Our God Is Alive" over Easter and a version of "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", with new verses contributed to us by Dr. John Piper. We also saw the Lord gracefully expand the reach of our music; songs were streamed in 99 countries! Our monthly Collective gathering of musicians, storytellers, production crew, and volunteers consistently has 200 people attending to eat, worship, and hang out together! Finally, in May of 2019 we got to celebrate four Worship Residents who completed our 2-year development program and were able to send them to churches in Kentucky, Missouri, Michigan, and Texas! We are so thankful that the Lord would entrust us with the development of so many people and look forward to seeing more men and women developed to lead and serve the Church across this county and world!

Move Forward

There are big things on the horizon for Austin Stone Worship. We are beyond excited to have The Church At Canyon Creek join our congregations, with Nate Jernigan as the worship leader. We are honored to have his talented team join our Collective family as well. Further, we will be releasing a new live worship album in early 2020, as well as a brand new project in a brand new style! We have even more projects in the works!
